![]() Both Kindle and Kobo have a rep for long-lasting devices, so you might be able to argue that you got a bad device if battery is already dying. TBH, for an e ink device, that is pretty bad shelf-life if the battery is already dying.Įven if out of warranty, I would call and ask Kobo to help if it looks like it is the battery. I read other comments that this is the Forma and not the Libra 2, and that the device is a year and a half old. I have seen similar behavior when a battery is on its final death spiral. Find out if you can roll back to previous firmware.ĥ) If none of the above, the battery seems the most likely culprit (or something else I didn't think of, which is quite possible, lol.) Your battery might getting old. If new firmware caused this then that is a major bug. If it is the case, replace it, preferably with a different type.ģ) Is it trying to download /update firmware and could that be sucking up a lot of power? Plug it in, take the update.Ĥ) OR Did you recently update the device firmware and did this start after a firmware update? I would call Kobo. Take the case off entirely, use the standby button iso auto-wake, if it continues, it isn't the case. ![]() You might solve it just by doing a restart.Ģ) If you just got a new case - *maybe* that is it though I'm not convinced. Discussion of DRM removal is allowed for books you have purchased legally but please note that legal requirements for DRM vary by region.ġ) do a completely restart on the system just to clear out any odd software black holes/loops that might be sucking up more than its fair share of resources.
